Cerebrals
Cerebrals society - a society of people scoring above an iq 144 sd16 on professional, standardized tests of intelligence. a rarity of 1/333 or 2.75 standard deviations above the mean. six times more selective than mensa. cerebrals society is an international society for people who have a documented iq score of at least 144 sd16 from standardized, professional tests of intelligence only. this means that membership is open for the top 0.3% of people along the iq spectrum. for comparison mensa, the most widely recognized iq organization accepts people scoring in the top 2% or an iq of 132 sd16. in turn it means that cerebrals is about six times more selective than mensa.
cerebrals was founded in december 1999 by xavier jouve who holds a ph.d. in experimental psychology. over time the society has evolved into a growing organization which keeps providing its members with intellectual peerage and a chance to meet across distances thus reducing the sense of isolation (not at all physical) often present in varying degrees in highly gifted people.
